Etsy Find of the Week.

I'm super original, I love pink. I love pink so much I had a pinktastic wedding. I even once had a pink medical-related issue once but we'll leave that story for another day when I can post accompanying pictures.

I came across this adorable pink Royal 1950's typewriter today while cruising Etsy. It's from seller sweetshorn and is up for $400. YIKES! If you have the dough and you feel like being generous my address is as follows: 11514 Bucknell Dr.

I'm waiting....

Moomah NYC

You remember this girl right?
Catie/Cathleen.
Well she emailed me the other day the most amazing link to a store/cafe/arts center in NYC that I just adore!
The store is called Moomah (playing off MOMA) and it's aim is to offer a place for people young and old to come enjoy light fare and make arts and crafts. I officially obcessed with this place and plan on visiting my next trip up to torture Catie.
Here's the opening page on the website.
Below the street entrance.

Below: an inside shot. I adore the white walls with a variety of art on the walls.

More coziness.

Their signiture cow, hence mooooo mah, God I'm funny I should have my own show.

A child actor being signaled to by his mother off camera to sit still and do the shoot or he'll get the whipping of a lifetime.

Catie did I miss anything??? Add your thoughts in the comment section.

Just a Reminder

Thanks for reading! I really appreciate it!

Wrathleen Cueto

My dear friend, Catie Cueto, or Cathleen as she likes to post-college (pictured in back) sent me the most amazing link the other day.

Morecloth.com is truly helpful application. If you're looking for fabrics from Etsy click on the color strip in the colorway you want and the application finds fabrics in those colors from Etsy. It's awesome! And it makes those long searches on Etsy for the perfect fabric happen fast!
Thanks Wrathleen!

Front Wall Space

So awhile ago I tried to unload my blue hat stand and no one came through to take old blue off my hands (thanks a lot blog readers:) Luckily I was able to discard of the blue clutter beast and then things went crazy. I decided to move a mirror from another spot in my house over and I found those great old wooden ladders at an estate sale (got the pair for $15). So here's the new vingette. Cast your vote.... like it, okay with it or hate it.
(PS- pretend that pillow is fluffed.)

Disappointing Shopping

Let me tell you about my depressing morning. On Tuesday I got an email about an upcoming estate sale- I checked the company holding the sales website, there was an arm chair that looked awesome for Clementine's room:

This is the actual chair. I thought; perfect chair, cute, love the shape and the fabric is tolerable. So the plan was set- I will buy this chair.

I wake up today, the first day of the sale, dress Clemmy and get to the sale right as it's opening.

Note: Not the actual door. This is estate sale was extremely popular and there was a line snaking down the driveway- I think okay the chair will probably still be there, upholstered furniture usually sits around at estate sales. So Clem and I head off to the school where I teach to unload the order for the upcoming school year. Finish that in about an hour and head back to the sale. This time as we approach there is still a line but not a bad line and Clem and I decide to stick it out. We waited probably 10 minutes (not bad). Now racing around an estate sale is the way it goes- it's every man for himself but with a baby it's a different story, especially with a baby who doesn't want to be held and has to be delicately coaxed from room to room. We eventually find the chair in the basement and this is what I see:

(I hate red heads even more now!)

A bratty kid sitting in the chair. So I'm not one to play nice, especially at a estate sale so I say to the kid- "Could you please get up so I can look at that chair?" To which I get the reply "My mom is buying this chair I'm just guarding it." My heart sunk. It sunk even further when I saw the price tag- only $70. Needless to say I hung around the chair until they actually paid for it just to make sure they were actually taking it.

I left the sale dejected. Thank God I don't have a cell phone because I would have called my husband and somehow blamed this whole thing on him (there is no way any of it was his fault.). So we're home- empty handed with a bare spot in Clementine's room.

Send presents to make me feel better.

Adorableness on Sale

Just came across this morsel of adorableness at Jcrew's Crewcuts. On sale for $40 plus %20 off. Now that's the kinds of prices I like. I just wish they had this dress in adult with a lower neckline- I would be all over it.

Tool Time

Is this the kind of tool box you have? It's the kind I have. Well Klein Tools has decided to design some amazing tool totes... time for an instant upgrade!

Ahhh much better.
First a canvas tote with 15 interior pockets- it can hang so you're hands free while working and yet your tools are close at hand.

Canvas tote style 2- good for storing yet not an embarressment to bring out in front of friends.

Next up- something I might actually carry as a purse: a leather tote tool bag. Priced at $218- ouch! Still adorable though!

And finally my personal fav a flat bottomed open tool tote- now this is luxury! Priced $97. Google Klein Tools if you want to buy.
