Serving Cart

Beautiful modern style serving cart... isn't it the best when regular things are made beautiful?

Urns

Love these Mercury Glass lidded urns. I especially like that the silver sheen is splotchy and not perfect!

Footed Mirror

This is one of my secret finds that I planned to never share with my readers because I love it so much and I want to be the only person who knows about it... aren't I classy and mature? Regardless I love this piece and it would be a fantastic addition to any collection.

Damn You Temperly London!!

For making such amazing dresses!

Rings

GEORGIAN 14K YELLOW GOLD AND ROCK CRYSTAL, INTAGLIO RING, Circa 1820. Highly detailed mounting centered with engraved rock crystal intaglio of a Georgian period gentleman.
So here we have something I didn't win at auction - boo hiss! I will continue my search for a ring like this.

Occassional Table

Beautiful painted top occasional table available through worlds-away.com.

Napoleon

Oh, to faint into Napoloeon's arms.

Beehive Chair

My ex-boss, aka Satan, was a big fan of these chairs. And although I try to do and be the opposite of everything she is - I like these chairs also. I love the idea of beehives in design and I think this chair is traditional yet not stuffy and refreshing.

Tabernacle

A very cool American tabernacle from New Orleans. Don't know the exact date on it but it's from the 20h century which could mean it's from 1910 or as late as 1990. I especially love the mergence of French and American/Greek design on this piece... it captures the heart of New Orleans as well as the heart of American architecture.

Vintage Bathing Suit

This idea is fairly common - find a cool vintage bathing suit, frame it and of course hang it. This suit is from 1901 and not only do I think it would be a great addition to anyones collection I also love the color combination. It's priced at about $1200, but find a suit on your own and you could so the same thing for a couple hundred dollars.

The Beauty of Good Design

Look at this picture up close. Isn't this coffee table amazing? The juxtaposition of the hammered almost molded finished base against the clean lines and clear top. Think about it... it's amazing.

John Jurgensen

John Jurgensen journalist to the Wall Street Journal and artisit on the side. The hubby, baby and I saw a beautiful rooster at a petting farm recently and that visit brough new meaning and interest to this piece for me.

Above: I think this is Oscar de la Renta also, but I can't remember. This dress reminds me of a fossil.

China - No Not the Country

This is my kind of china - cute, young, fresh, pink and expensive.

Oh to Be Young

This is the kind of bride I should have been - over the top with the look of a bitch. But really, isn't that headpiece fantastic?

Zac Posen Again

Saw the new Sex and the City movie last night... not going to lie I was scandelized out the ying yang, but the gorgeous Zac Posen bridesmaid dresses are to be noted. Unfortuantly you can't see the back of this one... but it truly was marvelous and the realization of many dreams.

Portrait

When I turn 40 I'm going to get another portrait done, (my 3rd yikes!!! talk about arrogance)... anyway I think I will use this one as the inspiration.

White & Black

I love this dress featured on the crazy Katie Holmes - ignore her, but isn't the dress fantastic! It reminds me a French clown or mime.
